Myotherapy involves assessing and treating soft tissue injury and restricted joint mobility caused by myofascial restriction or muscular dysfunction. Myotherapy uses various techniques including massage, cupping, dry needling, muscle energy technique and mobilisation along with exercise prescription, to best manage pain and restore movement range and function.

We work collaboratively with you for best functional outcomes.

Remedial massage is a more focused massage. It is used for the prevention and management of injuries. It involves assessment and treatment of the soft tissues of the body - muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. It aims to increase posture, flexibility, relieve sore muscles, prevent and/or support injury rehabilitation.

We work with you to develop a treatment plan that is targeted to your specific needs to get you back to doing what you love most.

Relaxation Massage is a gentle soft tissue massage with little to no discomfort or pain. It is a gentle and slow kneading of the muscles aimed at de-stressing, and relaxing the nervous system with the benefits of improving circulation. 

It is also beneficial in the dual modality of counselling and touch therapy. 

People who also benefit from relaxation massage are those with anxiety, history of trauma, osteoarthritis, MND, MS, Parkinsons or who are sensitive to pressure.

At Revive Mind and Body we have undertaken additional specific training for Prenatal, Pregnancy and Postnatal massage. Our therapist knows the areas  to target and what areas must be avoided.

Massage supports reducing stress, swelling in arms and legs, relieving muscle tightness and muscle and joint pain. It assists in improved circulation, lymphatic drainage, decrease in anxiety and supports better sleep.

Massage has been proven to be effective to manage labour and assist with pain.
